WG PTO supports the following after school clubs:
CHESS CLUB (3rd-5th Graders)
Chess club is currently run by WG parent Kyle Chappell and WG teacher Mrs. Beth Welland.
This club meets weekly for 4-6 weeks in the Fall Semester (4th-5th grade only)
and a separate 4-6 weeks in the Winter/Spring Semester (3rd-5th grade)
in the WG library after school until 4:45pm.
Sign-ups are required and spots are limited. Students who apply will be chosen at random if the applications outnumber the available openings in the club. Sign-ups will go out via email and PTO Facebook page prior to each semester's start date.
Entry into the Fall Chess Club does not guarantee entry into the Winter/Spring Chess Club; a new sign-up must be filled out for each semester.
RUNNING CLUB (1st-5th Graders)
Running club is run by WG teacher Mrs. SarahAnn Soto.
This club meets weekly after school for 4-5 weeks in the Fall Semester and 4-5 weeks in the Spring Semester
Sign-ups are required and will go out via email and PTO Facebook page prior to each semester's start date.
Fall Running Club will have the opportunity to participate in the Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin Run 5K.
Spring Running Club may participate in the Noah's Bandage Run 5K.
FUN WITH FITNESS CLUB (K-1st Graders)
Fun with Fitness club is run by WG teacher Mrs. SarahAnn Soto.
This club typically meets weekly after school for 3-4 weeks towards the end of the school year.
This club is for the younger kids to have a chance to participate in a fun after school club that gets their bodies moving!
Sign-ups are required and will go out via email and PTO Facebook page prior to start date.
